Active Media Manager (AMM)

Security Features

• Stronger user password requirements (must be 7 characters or longer, at least one non-alphabetic character, and be different than the last 4 passwords)
• A new workflow for user-created code provides for security review and reuse. AMM users can now create reusable Code Blocks and insert them into AMM pages. Code Blocks have built in workflow (each block of code a user creates must be approved). Javascript exploits are an increasingly common and dangerous attack vector. User-submitted javascript must be approved by a person qualified to do so (either a member of the client team or Clockwork)
• Access to all AMMs now secured with SSL. All AMM URLs have changed from http://amm.clientname.clockwork.net/ to https://clientname.amm.clockwork.net/
• PCI-DSS compliance, including cross-site scripting (XSS) prevention and HTML validation with HTML Purifier. The entire Active Media Suite and its hosting environment have been analyzed by a third-party security vendor

Usability

• Improved AMM interface design and usability, including more detail in help messages.
• Flash asset uploader for adding multiple assets to the AMM.

User Management

• Superusers can generate a new password for any AMM user who has forgotten their password
• Page lock outs will now be far less common thanks to a new idle user timeout and re-authentication feature. There is also now superuser interface to break locks when needed

Updated Flash Media Player

• Updated player skin
• Select an asset to display as a preview image before the video plays; image autoscales to fit user-defined width.
• Automatic letterboxing of full or widescreen video.
• Fullscreen option and auto scaling of video to fit user-defined width.
• Express install - if a site visitor has an older version of flash, they can upgrade from the Flash on the page.

Active Blogging Engine (ABE)

• All ABE components will now load much faster on live pages. Caching has created performance improvements of up to 400%.

Active Commerce Engine (ACE)

• Support for Address Verification System (AVS).
• Option groups for products can alter the product price (e.g. charge extra for an XXL).
• User-supplied text allows for specific user input with each product purchased.
• Minimum purchase quantities.
• Member checkout for stores allowing options of:
  • Create a member
  • Check out as an existing member
  • Anonymous checkout
• Pay-per-view digital products (pay to watch movies).
• N-use promotion codes

Active Survey Kit (ASK)

• Drag and drop to reorder survey questions.
• Intro text can be associated with questions and formatted using Rich Text.
• Skip logic allows for more customized user experience in taking surveys. Based on the answer to a question, you can now skip the user to the next appropriate question
