How To: Insert HTML into an AMM page using a Code Block

Posted on 7/1/11 by Clockwork

There are two ways to put raw HTML code into an AMM page.

The first way is an "HTML Code Component". This component allows basic HTML, but has several security restrictions. It does not allow tags, javascript, or inline css.

The second way is a "Code block". Code blocks have no content restrictions, but they require approval from Clockwork before they can be published.

The approval process is largely automated - Each new code block has a "request approval" button, which triggers a ticket to the Clockwork support team. The code block review checks mainly for cross-site scripting vulnerabilities.

Code blocks can be tested in page preview without being approved first. There's a small "preview options" tab near the top of each preview page, which can be used to turn on unapproved code blocks.

Code blocks can also be inserted into multiple pages (just like content blocks).
