What is a platform?
Clockwork was founded on the idea that once a difficult problem is solved, we — and our customers — should benefit from that solution in the future. The Clockwork Platform is a direct result of more than ten years of experience in solving problems for hundreds of clients.
We have grown a powerful application development platform from the ground up; a stable foundation to build upon and a set of power tools for our developers. The Active Media Manager and many custom applications and web sites are built and maintained on the Clockwork Platform.
Hosting in the Cloud
Clockwork's roots are in the hosting and Internet Service Provider (ISP) business. We maintain a robust, scalable cluster of servers in multiple data centers to provide our customers with a true, multi-tenant, cloud hosting infrastructure. Our customers can focus on driving traffic to their sites and applications and feel assured that our hardware can handle it all.
Open Source Technology
The Clockwork Platform is built on top of Open Source Software (OSS) such as Apache, MySQL, Ubuntu Linux, PHP, and Python (sometimes called the "LAMP" stack). Our technology choice means that integration and transition of Clockwork-powered web sites is easy and requires minimal cost.
Proven Security
Security is a critical component of the Clockwork Platform. Our cloud hosting infrastructure locks down web applications in their own environment. The Active Media Manager and its support software are PCI-DSS Compliant, adhering to security guidelines from the credit card payment industry. We've designed a comprehensive, defense-in-depth approach to keeping your data secure.
Upgrades and Support
We're here for you. Upgrades to the Active Media Manager are part of your hosting fees—we regularly improve your software at no additional charge. We also vigorously support our platform and our software. Often, customer suggestions and enhancements become features in the next release. We support you with e-mail and 24-hour telephone support with a toll-free 1-800 number. There isn't a separate "support department" here; every member of our team cares about our customers.
