Performing Advanced (Super User) Functions

Super users of the AMM can use the more advanced features of the tool, including the following:

  • Managing Members
  • Creating Member Attribute Groups
  • Creating Lists
  • Creating Personalized Content
  • Creating Registration Blocks
  • Performing Administrative functions

Personalization

Personalization allows you to create a unique experience for each visitor to your site. You simply gather specific data points, or Attributes, about your members and then depending on how you set up your site, the content and the look and feel will vary from member to member. This can ensure that your customers receive the information most relevant to their needs and interests. The personalization process starts by making a Member Attribute Group.

Members

Members are people to whom you wish to

  • provide password-protected access to specific pages in the AMM
  • provide a personalized experience for, using Member Attributes
  • send emails to from within the Communications tool.

The AMM uses email addresses as the primary identifier for Members; each Member’s email address must be unique.

Members have Attributes. For example, name, address, shoe size, hair color and favorite lip balm are possible Attributes. The Attributes that are available to each member are defined by the Member Attribute Groups to which they belong. So, if you want to track what lip balm is popular among your customers, do not forget to add it to a Member Attribute Group and assign each member to that group.

Members can be organized into Lists, of which there are two types: Static and Dynamic.

  • Static Lists are organized and controlled by an AMM users.
  • Dynamic Lists are created by building rules (conditions)

List associations define static list membership. Dynamic list membership is processed based upon the rules defined on the list and the attributes of each and every member. List creation is explained later in this manual.
