Within the Calendars tool, an attribute is simply an event detail, such as the date, time, or location. When creating an event in one of your calendars, you will fill in a form that contains a field for each of your attributes. These attributes will be displayed to your users on when they click an event in your calendar to see more about your event. Before creating your event, you will want to determine which attributes you will communicate about your event. The following standard attributes will always be available for you to include in your event details:
You may, however, want to communicate additional event details, such as event cost, event directions, dress-code, contact information, etc… The best practice is to determine the attributes you want to communicate to your site visitors before building creating events in a calendar. There are seven types of additional calendar assets you may add to your events:
Text attributes will give you a simple text field to enter the specifics when building you event. Cost is a common text attribute.
If you have an attribute that has a limited number of options when building your event, you can use a dropdown so that the choices for that selection are always the same. Perhaps you have 5 rooms in which events are held. If you set up a dropdown that contains the room numbers, then the room number may be selected from the dropdown every time a new event is set up.
Link attributes allow you to add URLs to your event details.
You may want to add more than one image. Add additional image attributes for the number of images you may want to use in any one event detail.
Video files can be included with your event details page.
Audio files can be included with your event details page.
Flash videos can be included with your event details page.

To insert these assets, follow these steps.
